Public Affairs

The 2009 Air Force Assistance Fund for Schriever kicked off March 23 and runs through May 1.

The fund was established to raise funds for the charitable affiliates that provide support to Air Force families in need.

These organizations are the Air Force Village Foundation, Inc., the Air Force Aid Society, Inc., the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation, Inc. and the Air Force Enlisted Village, Inc.

These organizations help the Air Force family (active duty, retirees, reservists, guardsmen and their dependents, including surviving spouses) with aid in an emergency, with educational needs or to have a secure retirement home for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance or other needs.

The Air Force Assistance Fund is different from other fundraisers because it is a program ran by Airmen for Airmen.
